Here are some answers to my most frequently asked questions. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need more info :)

Click the ‘Book’ section at the top left of this page and it will take you to a form to fill in. Please be patient in waiting for a response - I aim to get back to everyone within a few days but this can fluctuate depending on how busy I am.

I work at Nice and Good Tattoo. Our studio is in East Bristol, but we are a private studio and appointment only. The specific address is given out once you book.
-
Please come to your appointment well rested. Make sure you've eaten well and are hydrated. Don't drink the night before.
Keep the area you are getting tattooed moisturised in the days leading up to your appointment. Don't worry about shaving it - I will do this for you.
I cannot tattoo over fake tan, sunburn, cuts, scrapes or bruises.

I am enjoying making tattooing a soft experience! It doesn't need to be a scary, uncomfortable or unnecessarily painful thing. I work in a light, friendly and inclusive studio. I found getting a tattoo to be a healing experience for my relationship with my body, and I hope it can be the same for you.
Bring water and a sugary snack or drink, this can help if you're feeling nervous or faint.
We have music playing in the studio but if you'd prefer not to talk or wear headphones that's fine.
Communicate with me - it is your body and you have the final say, I will only suggest things. We can move the stencil about, change the design and size, nothing is annoying for me and it's important you're happy.
You can have a break or stretch whenever you need to. Get in contact with me if you're worried about anything or want to let me know something.

The essentials of aftercare are keeping it clean and moisturised.
After your tattoo, keep yourself well hydrated and rested for the rest of the day - if it's a bigger session it can be very taxing on your body.
Do not sun bathe, fake tan, swim or soak in water for a minimum of two weeks after your tattoo.
If we've used second skin, please leave it on for three days. You can still shower as normal but not bathe. Refrain from any strenuous activity that could make you excessively sweat. It's normal for it to look a bit leaky underneath - you aren't losing any ink, this is just your body healing.
When it's time to take it off, gently peel it off in the shower - the warm water helps with the adhesive. Give it a really gentle wash with fragrance free soap (such as Sanex 0%) and pat dry with a clean towel or some kitchen roll.
If the second skin feels overly irritated or goes red around the outside, please take it off early and proceed with the aftercare steps.
The only time I would recommend rewrapping a tattoo, is if the second skin has come of the same day as it was done - in this case carefully rewrap the tattoo in clean cling film, with freshly washed hands.
If we have used cling film, take it off the morning after the tattoo and follow the aftercare steps.
Only moisturise the tattoo when it feels or looks dry - over moisturising can do more harm than under moisturising. I recommend natural coconut oil or cocoa butter for this.
If you have any concerns whatsoever, please email me <3

As long as they are at least a year healed, it's absolutely no problem. I have a lot of experience with this. If you're concerned, send me an email and we can have a chat.

Due to the small studio space, it is preferable for you to come alone. This means our studio can be as calm and spacious as possible, and our other artists aren't too distracted. I understand getting a tattoo can feel intimidating, which is why our space is as welcoming as possible.
If you need a carer with you or really need someone for support, this is fine but please only bring one person.
-
If you would like to get a matching tattoo with a friend or you would both like to get tattooed at the same time, please fill out a booking form as normal, and in the custom box please explain that it's for two people and what each person is getting.
I just ask that you respect the calm nature of the studio, and are ready to wait as long as necessary while the other is getting tattooed.
